Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

1. Overview

Ferdousi's Henna Art(“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you book a henna session, order products, or otherwise contact us — through this website, WhatsApp, Facebook/Instagram messages, or phone — and how we use, store, and protect it.

By using this website or booking our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t submit your details to us.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Event details — the occasion, date, time, venue address, and design preferences for a booking.
  • Facebook profile link — required for every booking, used solely to verify your identity before our artist travels to your venue.
  • Delivery details — your shipping address and delivery zone, for product orders.
  • Account details — if you create an account, your login credentials and order/booking history.
  • Message content — anything you write to us through the contact form, WhatsApp, Facebook/Instagram, or on a call.

Products are paid by cash on delivery. Bookings require a 20% advance, which you send directly to our bKash/Nagad number during the confirmation call over WhatsApp or phone — not through this website — so we don’t collect or store your bKash/Nagad PIN or account credentials. We may keep a record of the transaction reference number you share with us to confirm the advance was received. If we introduce an integrated online payment gateway on this website in the future, that payment information would be handled directly by the gateway provider under its own privacy policy, and we’ll update this section accordingly.

3. How We Collect It

  • The booking wizard at /book, when you reserve a session.
  • The checkout form at /checkout, when you order products.
  • The contact form at /contact.
  • Direct messages on WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram.
  • Phone calls, including the confirmation call we make after every booking.
  • Account registration and your account dashboard, if you sign up.

4. How We Use It

  • To confirm and manage your booking or order.
  • To verify your identity using the Facebook profile link you provide, before our artist travels to your venue for an in-home session.
  • To contact you — including the confirmation call, delivery updates, and appointment reminders.
  • To fulfil orders (arranging courier delivery) and to travel to your venue for on-location sessions.
  • To respond to enquiries sent through the contact form or our social channels.
  • To improve our services and keep accurate business records.
  • To showcase session photos in our lookbook or on social media — only with your consent, as described in our Terms.

5. Who We Share It With

We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We share it only where necessary to deliver our service:

  • Courier partners, to deliver product orders to your address.
  • Mobile financial services (bKash/Nagad) — when you send your booking advance directly to our number, that transaction is between you and your provider. We only see what any recipient sees — sender number, amount, transaction ID — and never have access to your account or PIN.
  • Payment gateways(e.g. SSLCOMMERZ), only if and when we introduce integrated online payment on this site — they would receive what’s needed to process your payment, nothing more.
  • Law enforcement or regulators, only if legally required of us.

6. Cookies & Tracking

This site stores your shopping cart in your browser’s local storage so it survives a page reload — this stays on your device and isn’t sent to us or any third party.

We don’t currently run Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or any other analytics or ad-tracking tool on this site. If that changes, we’ll disclose exactly what’s in use here before it goes live.

7. Data Storage & Security

Booking and order information is stored on our servers and kept for as long as needed to fulfil your booking or order, handle any follow-up (rescheduling, warranty on a product issue, disputes), and meet our own accounting records — after which we delete or anonymise it.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

8. Your Rights

You can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, or delete it — subject to any recordkeeping we’re legally required to retain. Reach out using the contact details below and we’ll action it promptly.

9. Children's Privacy

Our bridal and festive services are for adults. We do sometimes apply henna to children as part of a family booking made by a parent or guardian — in that case, the booking and contact information belongs to the adult who made it, not the child.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services change — for example, if we add an online payment gateway or analytics tool. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
