Terms & Conditions
Booking, payment, cancellation, travel, and product terms — plus our patch-test and allergy disclaimer.
Last updated: August 5, 2026
1. Introduction
These terms apply whenever you book a henna session or order a product from Ferdousi's Henna Art. By submitting a booking or an order, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book — we’re happy to walk through it on a call.
2. Booking & Confirmation
Submitting the booking form at /bookgives you an instant booking reference, but your date isn’t locked in until two things happen: we call the number you provided — usually within 24 hours — to confirm your design and details, and you pay a 20% advance of your package price.
We only take one booking per slot, so that advance is what reserves the artist’s time exclusively for you — we don’t hold a date on a verbal confirmation alone.
Because most sessions happen at your home or venue, we ask every booking to include a link to your Facebook profile. This is a safety and verification step — it helps our artist confirm who they’re visiting before travelling to an unfamiliar address. A booking without a valid Facebook profile link can’t be confirmed.
3. Payment Terms
Bookings — a 20% advance of your quoted package price is due after the confirmation call, sent via bKash/Nagad or handed over in person; this is what locks in your date (see Cancellation & Rescheduling). The remaining 80% balance is paid in cash directly to the artist on the day of your session, after the work is complete. Prices are quoted in ৳ (BDT) and confirmed on the call, based on the package, guest count, and design complexity you’ve discussed with us.
Products — orders are paid by cash on delivery. The courier collects payment when your order is handed over; a flat delivery charge applies based on your delivery zone and is shown at checkout before you confirm the order.
We don’t currently process card or gateway payments through this website’s checkout — booking advances and product orders are settled by bKash/Nagad transfer, in person, or cash on delivery. If we introduce integrated online payment (e.g. SSLCOMMERZ), this page will be updated before it goes live.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
A paid advance holds your date exclusively for you, so here’s what happens if your plans change:
- Reschedule, any notice— free of charge, and your advance carries over to the new date. Message us or call and we’ll move it.
- Cancel with 48 hours’ notice or more — your advance is refunded in full.
- Cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, or a no-show— the advance is forfeited. By that point the slot can’t reasonably be offered to another client. We’ll always try to accommodate a genuine emergency.
- If we need to cancel— in the rare case the artist can’t make your session (illness, family emergency), we’ll tell you as early as possible, refund your advance in full, and offer the next available date priority at no extra cost.
5. Travel & Service Areas
We regularly serve Dhaka (including Uttara), Chandpur, Hajiganj, and Laxmipur. Travel within these areas is included in your package price unless we tell you otherwise on the confirmation call.
Bookings outside these areas are welcome — travel (and accommodation, for far or multi-day bookings) is quoted on the confirmation call once we know your venue.
6. Service Scope
Each package or service listed at /book and /servicesshows a starting price and duration — the exact number of hands or guests, design complexity, and time included is confirmed with you on the call, based on your occasion. Anything beyond what’s agreed (extra guests, significantly more intricate designs, additional locations) is quoted and agreed separately before the session.
7. Product Terms
Shipping— orders are typically dispatched within a few business days of confirmation. Delivery timelines depend on the courier and your location; we’ll call to confirm your order before it ships.
Returns & exchanges— because our products (henna cones, nail henna, hair henna powder) are cosmetic and applied to skin or hair, we can’t accept returns or exchanges once a product has been opened or used. Please check your order in front of the delivery person at the time of delivery. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or faulty, contact us within one week of delivery and we’ll replace it or refund it — we can’t honour damage claims raised after that window, since it becomes difficult to confirm the product wasn’t damaged after delivery.
Patch-test & allergy disclaimer— our henna is natural and free of PPD and chemical dye, but everyone’s skin is different and allergic reactions are still possible with any henna or nail product. Before using any product on skin, apply a small amount to the inside of your wrist or elbow and wait 24–48 hours. Don’t use the product if irritation, redness, or itching develops. See Liability below.
8. Client Responsibilities
- Be ready at the agreed time and venue — sessions run on a schedule, especially on bridal and festival days.
- Provide a valid, active Facebook profile link at booking, for identity verification ahead of an in-home visit.
- Provide a clean, well-lit space to work in, with seating for the duration of the session.
- Tell us in advance about any skin allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, or pregnancy, so we can advise you properly.
- Arrange for a parent or guardian to be present for any booking involving a child.
9. Liability
We use natural, chemical-free henna and take care in every session, but we can’t guarantee against an allergic reaction, since these depend on individual skin. We strongly recommend a patch test 24–48 hours before any booking or product use (see Product Terms). By proceeding with a session or using our products without disclosing a known allergy or sensitivity, you accept that you do so at your own risk, and Ferdousi's Henna Artisn’t liable for a reaction to an allergy or condition that wasn’t disclosed to us beforehand.
10. Photography & Marketing
We may photograph or film sessions for our own records, lookbook, and social media. We’ll ask before your session whether that’s okay with you, and we won’t publish anything that identifies you if you’d rather it stayed private — just let us know at booking, or any time after.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and any dispute arising from a booking or order is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as our services change — for example, if we introduce a deposit system or online payments. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version; the terms in force at the time of your booking or order are the ones that apply to it.
